To whom it may concern:
I strongly recommend Biblical History being taught in the public
school system. The course has been implemented in our school system
(Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools) and many students felt that it
was long overdue. Biblical History gives many students the opportunity
to connect the past with the present, gain a profound perspective of
the Bible and the impact of that history upon our country and the world
in the area of government, art, literature, and music. Teaching about
religion has been and is being done historically in order to talk about
it responsibly. The course is treated with both objectivity and
historical perspective – with an aim to inform rather than to convert.
Students are very excited about the Bible course and how it can
enlighten their perspective and give them a complete understanding of
how the Bible has affected man’s decision making process from the
beginning of recorded history up to the present.
